After visiting Summit County, many people hear the call of the mountains for the rest of their lives. For some, like Summit Ink Tattoo owner and artist Sean Ozz and his family, that means packing up everything and moving to a mountain town that they have spent years visiting. For others, that call may be expressed in a special piece of art.

An Artful Ode to Colorado

At Summit Ink Tattoo, Sean has over 26 years of experience producing award-winning work from bold and bright colors to smooth soft black and grey pieces. High-quality artwork at Summit Ink Tattoo is provided from the shop’s artists or by client requests. And as a tattoo shop in the mountains, many requests come from Colorado inspired pieces.

“Colorado, and especially Summit County, is a place people from around the world come to experience…we offer a lifelong tribute to this place that so many people love,” says Sean. Summit Ink Tattoo has an extensive collection of Colorado based artwork, as well as options for custom designs, for customers to portray their unique mountain experience.

For those looking for a different way to commemorate their mountain adventures, Summit Ink Tattoo also sells original paintings, photography and prints in an art gallery in the shop, along with fun and affordable souvenir shirts, beanies, and stickers.

Mountain Community

The mountain experience is why Sean and his family moved to Silverthorne. “We opened our business here precisely to be able to immerse ourselves in the mountain community.” Sean says that Silverthorne has everything needed for a small business like Summit Ink Tattoo, with easy access from the freeway and no shortage of amazing views. “Swing by the studio and check out the view from our front door!”

The supportive and friendly community and proximity from home to nature has made the call of the mountains easy to answer for Sean and his family. “Silverthorne has been the perfect blend of city needs like shopping, dining, and entertainment while keeping the authenticity of a laid back mountain community.”

While Summit Ink Tattoo prepares to reopen under the new safer at home guidelines, the shop has continued to sell gift certificates, original artwork and photography and has hosted a prize drawing for tattoo giveaways during the closure.
