Favorite Breakfast Places in Silverthorne

Published November 15, 2019

With cooler temperatures and snow on the ground, it’s the perfect time of year to sleep in and linger over breakfast. We’ve gathered a few of our favorite breakfast places in Silverthorne where you can enjoy everything from a classic eggs benedict to pancake soufflés to giant breakfast burritos. Grab a cup of coffee, or enjoy a Bloody Mary, and dig in!

Mountain Lyon Café

The famed Mountain Lyon Café moved to their new location in town a year ago after serving up pancakes and bacon for 25 years at the site of Fourth Street Crossing. The Mountain Lyon Café may be in a new space, but remains a local’s favorite, with the added bonus of a few more tables. Check out the giant breakfast burrito or breakfast tacos for a southwestern flair, or enjoy biscuits-n-gravy or chicken fried steak-n-eggs for a southern twist.

Timberline Craft Kitchen & Cocktails

Silverthorne’s newest restaurant, Timberline Craft Kitchen & Cocktails, is offering daily brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Timberline’s menu focuses on local, made-from-scratch food with traditional items like French toast and eggs benedict, along with a variety of pancake soufflés and specialties like chicken fried pork belly and corned beef hash with eggs. During brunch, Timberline also offers a variety of salads and Paninis and shareables like beignets and bourbon bacon cinnamon rolls.

The owners of Timberline Craft Kitchen & Cocktails also produce Treeline Bloody Mary Mix, making this the spot to enjoy a handcrafted cocktail to start your day. Order the Bloody Mary flight to enjoy a variety of flavors to complement your meal.

Sunshine Café

A Summit County staple for over 39 years and one of Silverthorne’s oldest breakfast spots, Sunshine Café is another local favorite. Ever popular breakfast items include the Enchiladas & Eggs, the Blue River Special or the breakfast burrito. Take advantage of being in the Rocky Mountain state with the Trout & Eggs platter, featuring pan-friend rocky mountain trout, eggs, hash browns and toast.

Fritangas

Enjoy a Mexican breakfast at Fritangas in Silverthorne. Serving up traditional items like breakfast chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, the restaurant also offers a variety of breakfast tacos, skillets, omelets and more. A local favorite is the breakfast burrito, which comes in a variety of options, all equally delicious!
