Dive Into Summer at Silverthorne Recreation Center

Believe it or not, summer is here! And the Silverthorne Recreation Center is bringing several free events to the community to kick-off the summer throughout the month of June. 


Free Day at the Silverthorne Recreation Center| June 7

6:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Come enjoy the Silverthorne Recreation Center on us! Enjoy free admission all day, relax in our pools, shoot some hoops in our gymnasium or increase your heart rate on some of our fitness equipment. Join us for a free coffee in the morning at 7:30 a.m., a free BBQ on the pool deck from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30p.m. and giveaways at 5:30 p.m. (while supplies last).


Kid’s Fishing Derby at Trent Park | June 9

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Kids big and little, bring your poles, bait and skills for a morning of free fishing fun at Trent Park Pond. Cast your luck for one of the big ones but no worries if he gets away, all participants have the chance to win one of the many door prizes and enjoy a free hot dog.


World’s Largest Swim Lesson | June 21

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Silverthorne Recreation Center

Join this world-wide event and participate in the largest swimming lesson conducted annually. When you participate in this global event, you are joining thousands of friends in the same 30-minute lesson on the same day. This free event was created to spread the word that swimming lessons save lives and will focus on skill level, appropriate water safety and self-saving techniques. Check in opens at 11:00 a.m.  Last call to be on deck is 11:15 a.m. Lesson begins precisely at 11:30 a.m. MST.
