Silverthorne’s Got Heart: Parade of (flashing) lights

On a typical day, flashing red and blue lights heading toward your home is not exactly a welcomed sight. But during the COVID-19 stay at home order, Summit Fire & EMS has helped roughly 20 Summit County residents celebrate their birthdays with a drive-by parade of fire trucks and ambulances flashing their lights, giving birthday wishes over the PA system, and when possible teaming up with local law enforcement vehicles for an even flashier show. “A lot of people deal with us on their worst day ever,” said Steve Lipsher, …

Summit County has enacted a new public health order, effective April 28, 2020, as the community transitions to a safer at home phase. Ending the Phase 1 Stay At Home public health order, the Phase 2 Safer At Home public health order reflects many of the State of Colorado Safer At Home public health order regulations with adjusted restrictions and dates to meet the needs of Summit County. Town of Silverthorne COVID-19 Test Results – Silverthorne Recreation Center Employee

Tuesday, March 17, 2020. The Town of Silverthorne was informed on Thursday, March 12, that a Silverthorne Recreation Center employee was being tested for COVID-19. The employee provided a sample for testing at a Grand County medical facility on March 12. The Town was informed today, March 17, of the result of that test, and the employee has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19. The employee’s positive test result is being counted in Grand County, CO and is not included in the three positive cases announced today, March 17, in Summit …

The Town of Silverthorne was informed on Thursday that a Silverthorne Recreation Center employee is being tested for COVID-19. The town has not yet received an update on the COVID-19 test results.
