In Summit County, the local nonprofit organization Building Hope is dedicated to improving the mental health of the community. Local and State Public Health Orders Summit County has released an amended public health order, effective June 5, 2020, to reflect the latest reopenings in our community. The amended public health order follows the Safer At Home guidelines and the latest guidance from the state of Colorado’s Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors, public health order, in effect through June 30. The Town of Silverthorne recognizes that access to parks, recreation and open spaces are essential to the community’s health and well being. The Town of Silverthorne has begun a phased reopening of its park amenities in response to the latest public health orders from Summit County and the state of Colorado. Park amenities in Silverthorne will begin reopening today, Friday, May 15, 2020. Public restrooms will reopen on Monday, May 18, 2020. On a typical day, flashing red and blue lights heading toward your home is not exactly a welcomed sight.
